Most Inspirational Professional Athlete?

Okay so I am a Freshman at Cal Poly- SLO. In my English cl, we have to write a profile essay about a person, place, or thing and interview someone related to the item. I am an avid sports fan and possibly want to pursue a career in sports journalism, so I decided I wanted to write a profile about an inspirational athlete. I thought of Gilbert Arenas, but can you help me think of any other possibilities? Also, does any one know how to contact any of the players you mention? Please help!
