Should i stay or should i go?

so a month ago i met this guy through an online dating site, and im going to paraphrase as much as i can, hes 24 but says he just got out of a 7 yr relationship with his babies momma. he has a 3 year old daughter.. he told me back in his teen years he was a meth head and got into alot of legal trouble and even spent 2 months in prison TWICE! but he said that was all behind him. So 4 months ago his kid mom dumps him so he moved out and left her the apt and her car. He now lives in a walk in closet at his moms 2 bedroom apartment, also his sister and uncle live there and he also gets his daughter 3 days a week who stays there too. He told me his uncle probably has warrants out for his arrest and his mom is a huge pot head that has hep c.. so he does work but his two cars are on the fritz so he always borrows his sisters car to come see me, i have a 1 yr old son as well... however i just found out he never even graduated high school!! so with all of this i decided to tell him last night i just wanted to be freinds.. he said things like :thats what i thought would happen for the last week or so, your not what im looking for, i need a woman who will accept me the way i am and that wont think im trying to do her wrong, he told me he didnt need a friend that he needed somebody he could love and dedicate himself to.. now im feeling like i made a mistake.. did i? And as for me i go to school and work 2 jobs i have my own apartment transportation and money...
