Is it spelt Girlies or Girlys?

Me and 4 friends are writing a country song and its just really bothering me because I'm a such a freakish perfectionist it's like a disorder. So if anyone could answer it would be helpful because all the sites I visit don't mention what the proper spelling is, they just say it is spelt as both.
