My boyfriend said he doesnt want to be with me what to do?

my boyfriend and I been together for 5yrs had ups and downs...he told me today he doesnt want to be with me anymore and Im extremly said I feel so alone. We have aan apartment together I love him and want to marry him I don't know what to do because he doesnt want to be with me but im afraid to let go because I want no one but him
