What is a good topic for a Russian History senior seminar?

My senior sem is about Russian history. I wanted to do something about arguing that Stalin starved the Ukraine under his leadership, but that might be broad. I have also been looking into doing something regarding espionage, maybe focus on a particular spy, or do something about maybe the rosenburgs or something. My goal is to find a topic that is specific and narrowed down, and to present a new perspective on the subject matter. The aim is to produce my own argument on things people have debated for years, and to explain a more clear understanding of what scholars currently believe by coming up with a new and interesting approach to what I have to say. I love Russian history but unfortunately am only really familiar with Cold War politics, late tzarist Russia history, and stuff like the Bolshevik Revolution. Thanks for your help!
